What inspired you to become a CCFA Student Ambassador, and what do you enjoy most
about the role?
My grandmother encouraged me to seek opportunities that would help me grow professionally,
and the CCFA Student Ambassador role stood out to me. I was inspired to apply because
it offers the chance to build meaningful connections with others in my field. What
I enjoy most is engaging with fellow students, collaborating with creative peers,
and forming relationships that strengthen my academic and career journey.
How has being a Student Ambassador helped you grow as a leader or professional?
Being a Student Ambassador has helped me grow as a leader by teaching me how to communicate,
work with others, and guide new students while building my professional skills in
a professional environment.
What’s the most unexpected skill you’ve learned while being an ambassador that you
never saw coming?
The most unexpected skill I’ve gained as an ambassador is the ability to adapt and
navigate change effectively. I’ve learned a great deal from Mr. Lucas, and his guidance
has helped me become more flexible, responsive, and confident in evolving situations.
If your role as an ambassador came with a superpower, what would it be, and how would
you use it to help CCFA?
I’m not certain what specific superpower I would choose, but I often think of Robin
from DC when imagining ambassadors as superheroes. Robin is dependable, collaborative,
and committed to helping the team thrive. I would use that “superpower” at CCFA by
supporting fellow students, assisting wherever needed, and contributing to a positive,
team-focused environment.
Where are you from, and how has your hometown influenced your academic journey at
CCFA?
I’m from Memphis, and growing up there inspired me to pursue sports media and tell
stories that highlight my city.
What was the defining moment or event that led you to pursue a degree at CCFA?
When ccfa came to my school my senior year and Ms. Terrell broke down the whole program
for me and that’s when I decided that ccfa was the right choice.
If you could host your own CCFA-themed game show, what would it be called and what
would the grand prize be?
I would create a game show called “CCFA All the Way,” focused on celebrating creativity,
collaboration, and the arts. The grand prize would be a Chick-fil-A gift package,
giving the winning student a well-earned treat after showcasing their CCFA pride.
How has your time as an ambassador shaped your connection to the CCFA community and
your future goals?
My time as an ambassador has strengthened my connection to the CCFA community by giving
me the opportunity to engage more deeply with students, faculty, and the creative
work happening across the college. Being involved has helped me feel more rooted in
the community and more confident in my place within it. This experience has also influenced
my future goals by showing me the value of collaboration, leadership, and staying
involved in creative spaces. It has encouraged me to keep pursuing opportunities where
I can contribute, support others, and continue growing in my field.
