Fast-Track to Online Courses

The CTL has created new online and in person courses to help facilitate moving the courses you teach online.

Intro

In the introductory course, you will learn how to access eCourseware, add News Items, and add Content to your course. You will also be given an overview of the tools in eCourseware.

Topics Covered :

• Accessing eCourseware
• Adding a News Item
• Managing the Content Tool
• A look at other eCourseware tools
• Overview of accessibility

 Note: To maximize our time, please, bring an electronic copy of your syllabus to add to your course.

Intermediate

In the intermediate course, you will learn how to use the Dropbox, Quiz, and Discussion tools. You will also learn the basics of grading and create a point-based gradebook. Lastly, you will learn how to use Virtual Classroom. To maximize our time, please bring an electronic D2L-compatible copy of any test bank that you plan to use in your course.

• Creating a points-based Gradebook
• Using Virtual Classroom

Advanced

In the advanced course, you will learn how to convert your Gradebook to a Weighted Gradebook, how to perform a Course Copy, and other advanced topics. To maximize our time, please bring an electronic copy of your percentage-based grading plan, if you wish to use a Weighted Gradebook.
