Why did you choose the University of Memphis for your studies?

I chose the University of Memphis because I wanted a graduate program with engaged professors, class sizes that encouraged meaningful discussion, and an excellent reputation in the counseling field. The University of Memphis checked all three boxes!

What’s a favorite or meaningful memory from your time here?

One of my favorite memories was serving as the Chi Sigma Iota School Counseling Representative. Being able to plan and attend events gave me the chance to connect with incredible individuals across all counseling disciplines and I loved every minute of it!

How did your experience at UofM prepare or shape you for the work you do now?

My time at UofM gave me both the knowledge and the confidence to step into my career. The program balanced theory with practice, which helped me apply what I was learning directly to real-world situations. More importantly, UofM helped connect me with several transformational leaders in the counseling field, many of whom continue to inspire and guide me today.
