May 26, 2015 - The website BestColleges.com has ranked the online Criminal Justice program at the University of Memphis among the top 25 in the nation.

The website compiled rankings based on the latest information from the IPEDS and College Navigator databases. In studying the data, BestColleges considered rates of acceptance, retention, graduation and enrollment.

"We are honored to be recognized as one of the top online criminal justice programs of 2015," said Dr. K.B. Turner, chair of the Department of Criminology & Criminal Justice. "It represents the hard work of our dedicated faculty. We will continually endeavor to provide our students with quality instruction via our online courses."

Students who graduate with degrees in criminal justice pursue careers in protective and investigative services, law and corrections enforcement, security administration and crime prevention policy development. With demand for specialists growing, schools now offer a wide range of criminal justice degrees online. These programs are ideal for working professionals who need the flexibility of online coursework to complete their degrees.
