Apply to the ELRC
The University of Memphis Barbara K. Lipman Early Learning & Research Center (ELRC) has served as the laboratory preschool for the University of Memphis since 1959. For decades, the ELRC has been a cornerstone of early childhood education in the Memphis community, supporting children, families, and future educators through high-quality learning experiences.
Applications are accepted year-round, and enrollment is offered for children ages 2–6 across our Reggio Emilia–inspired and Montessori program tracks.
After You Apply

Your child will be automatically added to the waitlist.

Applications roll over if your child remains age-eligible for the next academic year.

Our administration team will contact you if any additional information is needed.

First Eight Memphis Pre-K Application

Program Eligibility:

Children must be 3 or 4 years of age on or before August 15, 2026 to apply.

Additional documentation may be requested after the application is submitted.

First Eight Memphis prioritizes program enrollment for children whose households meet the most current F8M eligibility criteria.
