ELRC Employment 

The Lipman Early Learning & Research Center (ELRC), in partnership with University Schools at the University of Memphis, welcomes qualified professionals who are passionate about early childhood education and family-centered practice. Faculty and staff members play an essential role in providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support the needs of students and families. Candidates should possess relevant professional experience and/or an appropriate degree in early childhood education or a related field, demonstrate the ability to uphold Department of Education (DOE), NAEYC, and University standards, and be willing to adhere to all state, local, federal, and University policies, including required professional development and background screening procedures.

Student Employment 

The Lipman Early Learning & Research Center (ELRC) is proud to employ undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of roles each year. Student employees support our teaching teams in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ages 2–5 while gaining hands-on experience in a high-quality early childhood education setting. In this role, students assist with classroom routines, daily caregiving tasks, and academic instruction, while collaborating with the classroom team and other ELRC staff to meet the needs of students and families. All staff are expected to maintain Department of Education (DOE) and NAEYC standards of care and professionalism.
 
Qualified applicants should have childcare experience and/or be pursuing a related degree. Experience with children ages 2–6 is preferred. Applicants must follow all state, local, federal, and University policies, including completing required training and a TBI background check.
