Oct, 15, 2025 CREP Team Evaluates Virginia 21st CCLC Program for the 20th year in a row.
The Center for Research in Educational Policy (CREP) at UofM has partnered with the Virginia Department of Education to evaluate afterschool and summer academic enrichment opportunities for children at high-poverty and low-performing schools in a program known as Virginia’s 21st Century Community Learning Center. The program is evaluated by CREP Research faculty and staff Cindy Muzzi (PI), Dr. Mary Randolph-Frye (Co-PI), Dr. Todd Zoblotsky, and Robert McKinney.
The statewide evaluation of Virginia’s 21st Century Community Learning Center programs found that overall the programs resulted in positive academic and behavioral gains for students. Read more about CREP’s evaluation findings and reporting for Virginia’s 21st CCLC programs here.

CREP Continues Nearly 15-Year Partnership with Smithsonian
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - CREP is evaluating the impact of " project, titled “Smithsonian Science for the Classroom: Improving Student Achievement Across State Borders and State Standards,” including its modules and professional development on student achievement using standardized assessments, classroom observations, and teacher surveys and focus groups.

CREP Partners with Seeding Success on the Full-Service Community Schools (FSCS) Grant
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Led by Drs. Todd Zoblotsky (PI), Carolyn Kaldon (Co-PI), and Racquel Harris (Project Manager), CREP is the independent external evaluator of the Shelby County Community Schools Partnership (SCCSP).
