Carol Thomas Now a Certified Administrative Professional

Carol Thomas, administrative department secretary in the department of Business Information Technology, received notification that she passed the Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) examination. The IAAP (International Association of Administrative Professionals) CAP exam is an assessment-based professional certification for office management and business administrative professionals. This recognition is the only certification that encompasses the duties, responsibilities, and knowledge required of the administrative professionals of today.

Dr. Lloyd Brooks, interim associate dean of Academic Programs, acknowledged Thomas' achievement by stating, "This is a big honor and provides FCBE with an opportunity to recognize our staff."

Thomas contributes to the College with her many skills and talents that include communication, organization and planning, information distribution, records management, physical and information resources, document production, financial functions, and human resources.

With the completion of this certification exam, Thomas has passed the industry's measurement of knowledge that demonstrates professionalism and mastery of vital competencies. It indicates her dedication to FCBE and an initiative to stay current in this ever-changing marketplace.
