About Tom Long

Dr. Tom Long is an assistant professor of teaching and serves as the Director of Admissions for the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at the University of Memphis Lambuth Campus. He is a licensed physical therapist with 13 years of experiences in outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine settings. Dr. Long is passionate about hands on care and progressive exercise. Dr. Long is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the APTA and is also manual therapy certified through the Medical University of South Carolina.  

For the last 6 years Dr. Long has also been an adjunct instructor assisting and teaching different courses at Mount Saint Joseph University and Bowling Green State University. Dr. Long is very passionate about musculoskeletal therapy and looks forward to teaching the next generation of physical therapists to serve West Tennessee. 

Dr. Long looks forward to helping develop a strong DPT program. He also looks forward to immersing himself in the local culture and learning more about the Jackson Tennessee area.
