Dean Joshi Hosts Webinar on Public Health Clubs to Green City International School Students

University of Memphis School of Public Health Dean, Dr. Ashish Joshi, gave a webinar to Green City International School students interested in opportunities created by joining the Public Health Club. A Model for Public Health Education in High Schools: Learn More about Public Health Clubs  During the webinar, Dean Joshi announced that The University of Memphis School of Public Health has invited Green City International School students to participate in the 2025-2026 RE-AIM Public Health IDEAS Hackathon.

Dean Joshi discussed 21st-century public health challenges and explained how high school public health clubs engage students in promoting social, physical and economic well‑being. He highlighted opportunities offered by UofM SPH, including building a global health network, identifying public health problems, applying tools to develop solutions and exploring potential careers in public health.

This initiative aims to instill Leadership and Educational Advancement among youths to solve Public Health (LEAP) challenges of the 21st century. The initiative is built on 4 Pillars: Coping, Adaptability, Resilience and Empathy (CARE), says Dean Ashish Joshi, University of Memphis School of Public Health.
