Undergraduate Accountancy Degree
Earn your bachelor's begree in Accounting online, taught by the same faculty as on
campus. The School of Accountancy at the University of Memphis is one of six departments within the Fogelman College of Business & Economics, which
is the only business school in the Memphis area to achieve accreditation through the prestigious AACSB.
The School of Accountancy offers online accounting degree programs at both the undergraduate
and graduate levels. This includes the online Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a major in Accounting for students interested
in pursuing a career in the high-demand field of professional accounting. Students who complete this online accounting degree will
develop expertise in several key areas of accounting—ranging from taxation to auditing and financial accounting—and its functional support of organizations.
In addition, students will gain technological competency, critical thinking and problem-solving
skills, effective communication and team orientation, an awareness of ethical issues in business, and an understanding of how to make informed
decisions in a global business environment. Graduates of this online accountancy degree program will also possess a solid foundation for considering
the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) exam, as well as obtaining accounting licensure. With an accounting degree, you can pursue careers
such as financial manager, actuary, CPA, budget analyst, and Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
The BBA accounting online degree with a major in Accounting requires a minimum of
120 hours to graduate. You may complete this online degree for accounting entirely online through UofM Global or in combination with previously completed
college-level learning from other sources.
