Public Relations

Students in the Online Undergraduate Public Relations program learn to:

  • write for clients and create promotional materials;
  • develop media and message strategies;
  • manage crises that threaten company or product image;
  • build goodwill among an organization's audiences through community, philanthropic and special programs and events.

Faculty for the online program are the same as those who instruct our well-regarded on-campus program, and your degree is awarded by The University of Memphis, College of Communication and Fine Arts.

Our journalism and strategic media programs are accredited by The Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications (ACEJMC). Our B.A. in Public Relations is also endorsed with a Certification in Education for Public Relations by the Public Relations Society of America.

The BA in Public Relations requires a minimum of 120 hours to graduate. You may complete this degree entirely online through UofM Global or in combination with previously completed college level learning from other sources.
