Welcome to the College of Health Sciences—an academic community shaped by inquiry, driven by purpose, and grounded in service.
Our college is home to nearly 60 full-time faculty and staff members who support and mentor approximately 1,600 declared majors. Together, we cultivate an environment where curiosity becomes practice and knowledge becomes impact.
We offer six undergraduate degrees and nine graduate programs, including seven Master of Science programs and two Doctor of Philosophy programs with concentrations in Applied Biomechanics and Applied Physiology & Nutrition. Our academic portfolio also includes three undergraduate minors and one graduate certificate. In 2026, we will expand our reach with the launch of our Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of Memphis Lambuth campus in Jackson, Tennessee. Beyond traditional degree pathways, our Healthcare Career Academy provides hands-on training across multiple healthcare disciplines, opening doors to meaningful careers in health and wellness.
Our commitment to discovery is equally strong. The College of Health Sciences is home to accomplished scientists and well-equipped laboratories, supporting research that spans from cellular mechanisms to real-world application. Our faculty are leaders in their fields—advancing health science through nationally and internationally recognized research, published in top-tier, peer-reviewed journals.
