Doctorate of Education in Higher and Adult Education: Adult Education Concentration

The Doctorate in Adult Education Concentration is designed for individuals seeking leadership positions in education, health services, business, and in community and non-profit organizations. The Adult Education doctorate concentration prepares professionals to teach and facilitate the development of adult learners and promote lifelong learning within higher education.

This PhD in adult learning program develops students’ approach to designing, implementing and assessing the quality of adult education within higher education settings. A dissertation component lets students synthesize theory with an applied understanding of concepts.
