About the Program
The MHA Program provides high-quality on-campus healthcare management learning and an immersion experience that prepares students for success in the healthcare sector. The award-winning approach to leadership development is our "Day One" program, which includes a team development retreat prior to entering the program and a series of seminars that address core professional competencies. Students learn how to manage healthcare staff, navigate healthcare policies and laws, financial management, strategic planning, and quality improvement and use data-driven decision-making to enhance organizational performance.
This program is suitable for students with backgrounds in healthcare, business, or related fields who wish to pursue a career in healthcare and improve healthcare delivery, enhance patient outcomes, and drive organizational change. Professionals in hospitals, clinics, or public health organizations may also benefit from this program.
The MHA program, located in the University of Memphis CEPH-accredited School of Public Health, is a full graduate member of the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA), and belongs to ACHE's Higher Education Network (HEN).
