Administrative Topics

Keri Brondo Keri Brondo, Associate Dean, coordinates the College's research programs, overseeing the CAS Research Council and CAS Research Administration team, and serving as the College representative on the University of Memphis Research Council. She chairs the Professional Development Assignment (PDA), Distinguished Research Award (CASDRA), Early Career Research Award (ECRA), Faculty Research Grant (FRG), and Research Instrumentation and Technology Grant committees. She also serves as the Dean's liaison to the natural sciences departments and handles enrollment management for those departments.

Fanny Rodriguez photoFanny Rodriguez, Grant Coordinator, manages post-award support for the departments of Earth Science, Physics and Material Science, Mathematical Sciences, History, World Languages and Literatures, and English. Her work includes supporting researchers by monitoring project accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies with expenditures, preparing monthly reviews and reconciliations, providing guidance to PIs to ensure appropriate spending of sponsored program accounts, tracking project accounts and sub-awards, assisting PI with carry-over requests and no-cost extensions and works closely with PI to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of project closeout in compliance with award terms and conditions, university policies and procedures, and federal uniform guidance.


Crystal CaulfieldCrystal Caulfield, Pre-Award Grant Coordinator, supports researchers in the Department of Psychology and the Institute for Intelligent Systems in managing critical parts of the grant application process. Her work includes identifying and monitoring calls for funding opportunities, developing research proposals for electronic submission, assisting research teams with budget development and justification narratives, and acting as a liaison between researchers and the office of sponsored programs to ensure timely and efficient pre-award management, compliance, and grant submission.

photo coming soonElizabeth Wilson, Pre-Award Coordinator, supports researchers in the departments of Anthropology, Political Science, and Sociology and the School of Urban Affairs and Public Policy (SUAPP) which contains City and Regional Planning, Criminology and Criminal Justice, Public Administration, and the School of Social Work.   She assists in finding and securing funding for UofM research and educational projects. Much of the research and funding within these departments is collaborative with community agencies and non-profits.  She works with research teams during the pre-award phase of the sponsored project lifecycle to ensure the proposal is accurate, complete, and compliant with the sponsor requirements.

Roger KreuzRoger Kreuz, Associate Dean, serves as the Dean's liaison to the social science departments in the College of Arts and Sciences and interdisciplinary programs oriented toward the social sciences. He oversees the Governor's School and the International and Global Studies program. He also chairs the College's Graduate Curriculum Committee and serves as the College representative on the University Graduate Council.

Ladrica Menson-FurrLadrica Menson-Furr, Assistant Dean, has worked for the Dean's Office as an Assistant Dean for two years. She serves as the Chair of the College of Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Curriculum Council and helps facilitate undergraduate curriculum changes through the curriculum process. She also serves on the University Undergraduate Council and is the Chair of the University's General Education Committee. Her home department is English; as such, she is the liaison to the Humanities Departments and interdisciplinary programs such as Women and Gender Studies and AAAS. Ladrica also assists the Dean in undergraduate grade appeals, enrollment analysis, and issues related to undergraduate instruction and advising.

Jessica AbernathyJessica Abernathy, Director of Administration, is responsible for acting for and on behalf of the Dean, serving as a liaison to the department chairs, division directors, administrative personnel, Board of Advisors members, students, etc. She also oversees College faculty and staff recruitment and provides the Dean with information about pertinent laws, regulations and rules. She coordinates the College's Tenure and Promotion process each year and conducts special research projects for the Dean.

Iesha WilliamsTBD, Administrative Associate I, is responsible for scheduling meetings between the dean and various faculty, chairs and students. This position orders supplies for the office, helps plan events for the college, and works on updating award forms and the college websites. It generates all work orders for telephone service, general maintenance, alarm systems, computer problems, etc. It maintains key inventory for the building. It assists associate deans in all award processes and is in charge of ordering all awards.



Stormey WarrenStormey Warren, Administrative Associate II, assists the associate deans and faculty in graduate and undergraduate curriculum, including preparing course revisions, new courses, and catalog changes to be presented to the CAS curriculum councils. She also manages and approves graduate student paperwork, including requests for late adds/withdrawals and overloads. Stormey assists faculty/departments with submitting applications for Graduate Faculty status.

CAS STUDENT EMPLOYEES

Katherine PointerKatherine Pointer assists the Pre-Professional Advising department with Pre-Law tasks. Her duties include opening and closing the office, covering the front desk, directing visitors, and answering the phones; attending Pre-Law student organization meetings and helping to cultivate a new student group; serving as CAS Pre-Law student ambassador, which requires attending various events such as NSO, Junior Preview Day, etc.; and completing research projects and tasks for the department and the Dean's staff at large.

Aniya Latrice TuckerAniya Latrice Tucker is the Social Media and Website Liaison for the CAS. Responsibilities of the position include making 2-4 daily posts on the college's Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram platforms, and updating the main college website, E-Files Newsletter, Accolades, and several department websites, and other duties as assigned. Aniya is a Junior in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice.

Iesha Williams, Financial Services Associate, Provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the department chair. Manages financial operations, human resources, and student recruitment while ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures. Serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external partners, providing information and assistance as needed.

photo coming soonComing Soon! Business Officer III, is responsible for administering all issues related to Research Administration and University of Memphis Foundation accounts, including Proposal Summary, Advance Account, Incentive Pay, Foundation Reimbursement, and training. Their responsibilities include managing budgets for the CAS Travel Enrichment and College Professorships. They are also the Dean's official designee who authorizes financial transactions on behalf of the College.

Rika HoodRika Hood is the Director of Undergraduate Student Services and oversees undergraduate advising, recruitment, and graduation efforts. Each department in the college has specified advisors for its undergraduate majors, and the director provides training, resources, and assessment of each area's advising. The director also works with the graduation analysts to provide information to students and advisors in preparation for and certification of graduation.
