Film Club
The University of Memphis Film Club brings together students who share a passion for cinema, storytelling, and filmmaking. Whether you're a Film Studies major, an aspiring filmmaker, or simply someone who enjoys watching and discussing great films, Film Club provides a welcoming space to explore the art of film with others who share your interests.
Throughout the semester, members gather for film screenings, discussions, and hands-on creative activities. From analyzing classic and contemporary films to exploring screenwriting, production, and other aspects of filmmaking, Film Club encourages students to engage with film both as an art form and as a collaborative creative practice.
What We Do
- Watch and discuss films selected by members and faculty
- Explore a variety of genres, directors, and filmmaking styles
- Participate in conversations about filmmaking, storytelling, and film analysis
- Engage in occasional hands-on filmmaking and screenwriting activities
Who Can Join?
Film Club is open to all University of Memphis students, regardless of major or previous filmmaking experience. Whether you're interested in directing your first short film or simply enjoy watching movies with fellow film enthusiasts, you're welcome to join.
