The University of Memphis Marching Band, the Mighty Sound of the South, has proudly represented the University of Memphis since 1940.
The Mighty Sound always brings a spirit and energy that enhances the game-day experience for everyone in attendance. We play in the sixty-one-thousand-seat Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium, FedExForum in downtown Memphis, on campus, and in locations nationwide.
With band members representing virtually every academic major in the University, the Mighty Sound of the South is proud to be one of the largest and most diverse student organizations on campus.
