Current Status

The following actions and policies are in place until further notice. All updates will be posted to this site.

  The UofM Campus is OPEN.

  • Read the COVID-19 Health and Safety University Policy >
  • Classes started August 17 with most classes being delivered virtually/remotely.
  • We will maintain campus density at current levels and not add additional face-to-face classes the week of Sept. 21 as originally scheduled. A target date for the next review of return plans will be the beginning of October at the earliest. Read the full announcement >
  • Fall 2020 classes are to be considered remote or online - unless students are provided additional information from instructors. Small groups for research, performance or labs may be currently held on campus in this first phase, but these classes will be the exception. Read the full statement regarding the phased reopening >
  • Faculty and staff that are able to fulfill their duties off-campus are working remotely.
  • Campus housing and dining facilities are open. Read the latest updates >

  • Most campus buildings have restricted access. You must have your University ID to enter. Learn more >

Fall 2020 Academic Calendar Adjustments

  • All classes began Monday, August 17, and end Tuesday, November 24.
  •  We will not be taking a fall break this semester, but will observe the Labor Day holiday.


  • All campus events with 10 or more people are canceled, postponed or being held virtually.
  • Visit gotigersgo.com for updates regarding athletic events.
  • University Middle and Campus School are currently conducting classes virtually. The ELRC is currently open.
  • All University-sponsored travel, domestic and international, is currently suspended.
