Summer Research Fellowship

The Helen Hardin Honors College will provide funding for a summer research fellowship program to promote research and creative scholarly activity among honors students. The purpose of the program is to provide honors students with the time, financial support and faculty mentoring to pursue meaningful research and creative projects in the summer.

Up to 15 stipends at $3,000 each will be awarded to support honors students who will work with a full-time UofM faculty member this summer. Students will also receive an allowance of $1,000 for consumable supplies to be used in direct support of the research project.

Students are responsible for seeking a faculty member to guide the project or a faculty member can suggest a project to a student. As part of the program, the faculty member will receive professional support funds ($1,000) from the Honors College. Faculty may use these funds for salary supplement or professional expenses (travel support, research support, etc.).
