Joshua Cannon Selected as USA TODAY Collegiate Correspondent

University of Memphis student Joshua Cannon has been selected as a spring 2015 collegiate correspondent for USA TODAY. The publication received more than 400 applications and selected 33 students.

"I couldn't be more excited to be working as a correspondent for USA TODAY this semester," said Cannon. "I'm learning so much from all of the talented editors at the publication. It's an incredible opportunity, and I'm very grateful to have been selected."

Cannon is editor-in-chief of the UofM's student newspaper, The Daily Helmsman. Previously he worked there as a reporter and as managing editor. Cannon is also a contributing music writer for The Memphis Flyer.
