Remembering Memphis State Eight Trailblazer John Simpson

John Simpson and the Memphis State Eight were the first African Americans to integrate the campus in 1959. Simpson passed away Saturday, Feb. 8, leaving behind a legacy that helped shape the UofM into the institution of diversity and inclusion it is today.
