This program is designed to apply principles of leadership, governance and management, empower team members and guide decision-making. The courses can be applied to a master’s degree program in healthcare and public health at the University of Memphis School of Public Health.

The graduate certificate enhances opportunities for those in healthcare and clinical settings.

A wide range of career fairs, strategically curated professional events, one-on-one coaching to explore public health through different lenses, foster your connections and build your lifelong networks and skills.
Graduates of the program are employed in hospitals, government agencies, nonprofits, and academic institutes as healthcare executives, quality improvements managers, and leaders in nursing and healthcare associations. Credits earned in this certificate may also be applied toward a graduate degree, offering a pathway for continued academic and professional advancement.

  • Completed SOPHAS application
  • Undergraduate degree with minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Curriculum Vitae/Resume 
  • Statement of Purpose (400-500 words) 
  • Credentials evaluation for foreign transcripts 
  • Language proficiency test if language of instruction was not English
