UofM Spain Program
Of the 754, 749 international students who started graduate degrees in the US in the 2020/21 academic year, 0.77% come from Spain; that is just one in every 130! The UofM-Spain program focuses on this problem, ensuring that Spanish and Andorran students know about the United States as a destination for their training, summer work programs, and learning English. The program also focuses on supporting the areas of entrepreneurship, innovation, and STEM to increase economic opportunities for young people in Spain and/or Andorra.
The program prepares participating students for successful application to, and study in, STEM-based US graduate school programs by providing research opportunities and professional training in STEM-related career fields.
The program will be structured around four courses:
- An English course
- A Professional Development (PD) course
- A Research Symposium
- A research-based course
