Lauren Hillman joined the University of Memphis staff in July of 2013 as an Athletic Academic Counselor for Football. Prior to Memphis, Lauren was an Academic Counselor and the Life Skills Coordinator at The University of Southern Mississippi. During her tenure, Lauren advised several sports, including men's and women's basketball, soccer, softball, men's and women's golf and volleyball. From 2008 until 2012, as part of Student-Athlete Development, Lauren oversaw events such as the First Annual SAAC Date Auction and Mardi Gras Ball, mentoring and literacy awareness at local elementary schools, annual department-wide canned food drive, Operation Christmas Child shoe box project, and hosting special needs students for athletic facility tours and activities.

In addition to serving as an Academic Counselor, Lauren is also an ACAD 1100 instructor and evaluates high school initial eligibility. In addition, Lauren facilitates the football admissions process, assists with the IGA Mentoring Program, serves on PAWScars committee and oversees CAAS website management. Lauren is also a member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A).

Lauren is originally from Brandon, MS and enjoys traveling, shopping, running, watching all sporting events, and spending time with her nieces, nephews and fur baby, Candy.
