CAS Department of Earth Sciences and CERI Earth Day Celebration

Since 2022, the College of Arts & Sciences Earth Sciences Department has partnered with the Center for Earthquake Research and Information (CERI) to host an annual Earth Day Celebration for University of Memphis Middle School students. This event aims to introduce young learners to Earth Sciences and inspire an interest in science and conservation through engaging presentations and demonstrations by university students. 

This collaboration aims to foster a deeper understanding of environmental issues, encourage sustainable practices, and inspire the next generation of young scientists to protect our natural resources for future generations.
