Biography

Emily Draffen received her B.F.A. in Acting from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. She first came to Memphis as an Associate Company Member with Playhouse on the Square and has remained active in the region’s arts community, performing with organizations including Theatre Memphis and Germantown Community Theatre. Emily is also an accomplished playwright.

As the Assistant Director of Recruitment and Admissions for the College of Communication and Fine Arts, Emily combines her passion for the arts with extensive experience in marketing, communications, and student engagement. She works closely with prospective students and their families, helping them explore the many academic and creative opportunities available within the college. Emily is dedicated to supporting students throughout the admissions process and connecting them with the vibrant community of artists, designers, performers, communicators, and scholars that make the CCFA a dynamic place to learn and create.
