Joseph Branson is a Research Associate with the Center for Community Research and Evaluation. A graduate of the University of Mississippi with a background in economics, mathematics, and computer science, Joseph serves as the Center's data science specialist. In addition to conducting evaluations of community projects, Joseph specializes in helping community partners gain insights on their activities and impacts using cutting-edge tools such as data visualization, interactive dashboards and maps, web scraping, and automated data cleaning. Before joining CCRE, Joseph worked as a researcher with the Mississippi Office of the State Public Defender, as well as the Center for Advanced Hindsight at Duke University.
