21st Annual CS Student Research Symposium

The 21st Annual CS Student Research Symposium was held on Friday, March 27, 2026 in the Edwards Research and Innovation Center (ERIC). During the event, students shared their ongoing research and were evaluated by a panel of faculty judges.

The agenda for this year's event featured seven posters, four short talks, two long talks, and two undergraduate posters. The keynote speaker was Nobal Niraula (PhD 2015), who shared his work on adapting large language models for domain-specific tasks at Boeing AI.

The awards this year are listed below. In addition to these awards, Gabriel Wright was recognized for participating in the event as an undergraduate student.  Thanks to Prof. Deepak Venugopal for organizing the event with assistance from the CS graduate committee, and to Jackquline Jones for her invaluable administrative support!
