Mindfulness Workshop with Mindful in Memphis

Led by Dr. Chanda Murphy from Mindful in Memphis, the workshop will offer an opportunity to slow down, recharge, and explore practical mindfulness strategies for managing stress and supporting well-being.
The event is sponsored by a 2026/2027 CoRS grant, Global Community in Motion: Yoga, Mindfulness, Walking, Music Therapy and Dance for Belonging and Well-Being, and is open to all UofM faculty and staff.
About Mindful in Memphis
Mindful in Memphis is a 501c3 nonprofit that provides mindfulness based education and support. Their offerings include ongoing events, including retreats, community meditations, workshops and courses.
About the Speaker
Chanda Murphy, PhD, received her doctorate in Experimental Psychology from the University of Memphis with a concentration in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Her applied work with a variety of teams and organizations ranges from helping to mitigate stress and burnout to improving internal communication, cooperation and culture. She has spent the past 15 years as a professor at the graduate and postgraduate levels and continues to conduct research on mindfulness interventions for both students and corporations. Chanda also works with local schools in the Memphis area, teaching effective social emotional learning and mindfulness skills to children.
Free and open to all UofM faculty and staff.
17th Annual Hispanic Film Festival
All films will be presented in Spanish with English subtitles and will start at 6:00 PM CDT. Admission is free.
