Project Overview & Purpose

The future expansion and improvements of the University of Memphis  physical campus is a vital part of achieving continued academic, research and student success.

These physical elements are detailed in our Master Plans to provide the institution with a vision for growth and improvement. Many aspects of the vision have been successfully implemented over the past five years and continued investment in the campus is ongoing today. Major investments must be carefully planned and coordinated for excellence in facilities and the master plan encompasses this effort.

The purpose of the Facilities Master Plan  is to align the physical, spatial, and fiscal objectives in support of the University's Strategic Plan. It will help differentiate the institution and create a distinctive destination – through outstanding academic and research programs, a vibrant urban campus life, and a compelling physical presence.

The plan was completed by the Smithgroup.
