picture Stephen Behrman Saxophone was a big part of my childhood, but life pulled me away from it for decades. Two years ago, I started playing again and reached out to Michael Shults for lessons, which introduced me to the University of Memphis Scheidt School of Music. After meeting several students, I was inspired by their passion and dedication and wanted to support them. My wife, Robin, and I created a scholarship fund for saxophone students and an endowed fund to support the Saxophone Studio, including visiting artists and other studio needs. It has been a joy to work with this group, and I’m grateful to help in this way.
