Dr. Parul Yadav is a Program Coordinator of AI in Public Health and Health Informatics Programs and an Associate Professor of Health Informatics in the School of Public Health. She is an accomplished AI/ML researcher and academician with over 19 years of experience in higher education, research, and academic leadership. Her expertise spans developing and deploying AI/ML systems across health informatics and biomedical systems, ensuring data privacy. Her research specialization lies in privacy-preserving AI architectures for healthcare, with core technical expertise in synthetic EHR generation, federated learning paired with differential privacy, machine unlearning for HIPAA and regulatory compliance, and biomedical signal synthesis.
In her past leadership roles, Dr. Yadav served as Principal Investigator on funded R&D projects, including a Department of Science and Technology initiative developing differentially private synthetic pipelines, alongside a 2025 USPTO patent application for a Sign Language Generation Tool using NLP and LLM that enhances accessibility for Deaf and hard-of-hearing populations. Recognized with honors such as the Global Woman of Science Award (2025) and International Educator of the Year (2025), Dr. Yadav has consistently focused on bridging theoretical machine learning with production-ready, compliance-focused health solutions.
Currently, her work focuses on developing federated synthesis models that allow healthcare networks to collaborate and train robust clinical AI without exchanging raw patient data.
