Graduate Certificate in Implementation Science

Integrated and Applied Knowledge: This graduate certificate integrates implementation science with public health practice to address the challenge of translating evidence into real-world impact. Students learn to apply implementation frameworks and strategies to ensure that evidence-based interventions are effectively adopted, delivered, and sustained across diverse health systems and community settings, with emphasis on behavioral intervention design and program evaluation.

Program Flyer

Taking LOCAL Impact to GLOBAL Change

The program examines how interventions are implemented and adapted within real-world environments, including healthcare delivery systems, community organizations, and policy contexts. Learners explore strategies to improve adoption, scalability, and sustainability of programs across different populations and settings, including public health communication and multisectoral engagement.

Students develop in-demand skills in implementation frameworks, program evaluation, stakeholder engagement, and data-informed decision-making. Training emphasizes identifying barriers, optimizing intervention delivery, and evaluating effectiveness in complex, real-world systems, including skills in program evaluation, behavioral intervention development, and stakeholder communications.
This program connects learners to interdisciplinary perspectives across public health, healthcare systems, and policy. Students gain experience with approaches used in government agencies, hospitals, nonprofit organizations, and research institutions, including applied, practice-based projects.
Graduates are prepared for roles in program implementation, evaluation, and health systems improvement. The certificate supports leadership in evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and translational research, particularly in roles focused on implementing and scaling interventions.
