Objective
The center for MCHEER (Memphis Climate Health Environment Equity Research) serves as an infrastructure to expand collaboration, build capacity, and engage communities to conduct transdisciplinary and translational research addressing complex health impacts from climate change and environmental pollution on vulnerable populations in the Greater Memphis Area and beyond.

Professor of Environmental Health Division of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Environmental

Research Interests: Air pollution, climate change, indoor air quality, exposure and risk assessment, and
environmental justice.

Ashish Joshi, PhD, MBBS, MPH
Dean and Distinguished University Professor
Research Interests: Population health informatics, mobile health, public health dashboards, public health
innovation and entrepreneurship, public health workforce, global health and human-centered
design.

Abu Mohammed Naser Titu, PhD, MBBS
Assistant Professor of Environmental Health Division of Epidemiology, Biostatistics,
and Environmental Health
Research Interests: Climate change and health, environmental epidemiology, cardiovascular epidemiology,
socioecological determinants of cardiometabolic health outcomes, evaluation of public
health interventions, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) research, and clinical
epidemiology.

Arleen Hill, PhD
Chair and Professor of Earth Sciences Department of Earth Sciences
Research Interests: Managing/reducing the impacts of disruptions to our society and environment associated
with hazards and vulnerability.

Xichen Mou, PhD
Assistant Professor of Biostatistics Division of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and
Environmental Health
Research Interests: Group testing, pooled biomarker data analysis, nonparametric regression, repeated
measures.
