Collaborate, understand, transform
An applied anthropology MA from our nationally-recognized program can help you make a difference.
The Department of Anthropology offers one of the nation's leading MA programs in Applied Anthropology. With award-winning faculty and significant funding and research opportunities, our department focuses on training students to apply the theories and methods of anthropology to address real-world problems in collaboration with communities.
Our students move on to careers in government, nonprofit, and private sectors in multiple areas, including healthcare, community development, health administration, cultural heritage preservation, and environmental management. Our program also prepares students to move on to doctoral study in anthropology and other fields.
