Jacob Davis

Jacob Davis, AIA, LEED AP

Jacob has over ten years of professional experience on projects of a wide range of scales. He has a gift for motivating design teams in the process of translating conceptual ideas into reality from schematics through construction. He is a LEED Accredited Professional with the United States Green Build Council and a member of the American Institute of Architects. Jacob has influenced archimania's design process through analyses of energy performance data. His efforts to push projects toward the highest sustainability performance have led the firm to make the AIA 2030 Commitment, a framework to help firms evaluate the impact of project design on energy efficiency, and has pushed archimania's use of energy modeling on the front end of design and to conduct post-occupancy and energy data analysis.

Jacob also serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Memphis, Department of Architecture. His curriculum focuses on both concept and design development, with emphasis on how architecture can generate meaningful experiences through small-scale design details and large urban gestures. Jacob has also served on academic juries at Georgia Tech and the University of Memphis.

Actively engaged in his community, Jacob serves as a professional design member of an Urban Art Commission selection committee for local projects in Memphis and is a 2017 AIA Tennessee Outreach + Engagement Committee member. When at work you can find Jacob in his gray jeans, contemplating spatial opportunities while incessantly twirling his hair.
