Dr. Bumgardner gives invited talk to Czech Academy of Sciences

Joel D. Bumgardner, PhD, Professor Biomedical Engineering, gave an invited talk entitled "Chitosan Nanofibers: Electrospinning & the Promise for Guided Bone Regeneration" at the Institute of Physiology of Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague, Czech Republic 14 May 2025. Talk was part of 2.5 week research visit to Dr. Lucie Bačáková Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering Lab, with UofM-UTHSC Joint BME Program graduate students, Alex Bryan and Nikken Malboeuf, investigating novel chitosan-based membranes for wound healing and skin regeneration. Project is supported by joint funding from the Czech Academy of Sciences and the University of Memphis.
