BME Grad Students, Faith Smith & Will Clayton Receive Weil Graduate Fellowships
Kudos to Faith Smith & Will Clayton, UofM BME grad students in the UofM-UTHSC Joint BME Graduate Program, for being awarded the prestigious 2-year Weil Graduate Fellowship! The Weil Graduate Fellowship, part of the University of Memphis Weil Scholars Graduate Program, supports outstanding graduate students from around the world in developing and shaping the next generation of leaders in their respective disciplines.
Burton Weil is a University of Memphis alumnus with a deep passion for improving the City of Memphis by empowering its future leaders. Mr. Weil earned his MBA from the University of Memphis in 1966 and later founded Venture Associates Partners, a private equity firm. As a venture capitalist, Mr. Weil has owned several companies throughout his career establishing himself as an industry leader in our community. He is a supporter of multiple UofM causes, including the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. His generous support for academic excellence will help the University and its students ascend to new heights.
