eDay Passport Guide

Explore. Discover. Scan. Win!

Make the most of your Herff Engineering Day experience with the eDay Passport Challenge! As your team explores engineering competitions, hands-on activities, demonstrations, and laboratory tours, you can collect digital stamps and compete for a chance to win a prize for your classroom!

The more activities your team completes, the more stamps you earn!

How Does the eDay Passport Work?

Your eDay Passport is a digital record of your team's adventures throughout Engineering Day. Each participating activity has a unique QR code that your team's chaperone can scan to earn a digital stamp.

As you collect stamps, your passport automatically tracks the number of different activities your team has completed.

Getting Started

Step 1: Open Your Passport

Visit the eDay Passport webpage using a smartphone or tablet. One chaperone should manage the passport for the entire team.

Step 2: Enter Your Team's Information

Before beginning, complete the information at the top of the passport:

• School name

• Contact person's name

• Contact phone number

• Grade level(s)

Step 3: Explore the Activities

Choose from the many exciting engineering experiences available throughout the day!

Tap an activity title in your passport to view its description and location. Participate in as many different activities as time allows.

Step 4: Scan the QR Code

After completing or participating in an activity, locate its official QR code and follow these instructions:

1. Select Scan Activity QR Code on your passport.

2. Allow camera access if prompted.

3. Point your device's camera at the activity's QR code.

4. Wait for the activity to be marked STAMPED.

5. Check that your total number of completed activities has increased.

Each different activity earns one stamp!

Step 5: Keep Collecting Stamps

Continue exploring eDay and scanning QR codes as you participate. Your passport will display your progress throughout the day.

Step 6: Submit Your Passport

Before leaving Engineering Day, review your information and select Submit Passport. Submitting your passport is required to enter the classroom prize competition.

Helpful Tips

• Use the same device and browser throughout the event to keep your stamps together.

• Scan the QR code immediately after participating in each activity.

• Each activity can only be counted once.

• Make sure your school's contact information is correct.

• Do not select Start New Passport unless you intend to clear your current progress.

• Ask an event volunteer for assistance if you experience scanning difficulties.
