Build Your Network
A strong sense of belonging is key to thriving in college. Herff engineering students take part in more than 200 student organizations — from professional engineering societies and service clubs to intramural sports, cultural groups and student government. You can even start your own group or event to share your passion and leadership.
Our students also participate in impactful outreach, including Up ’Til Dawn, a nationally recognized fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital that was founded right here at the University of Memphis.

At Herff, we believe that talent and potential count for more than the ability to pay. When financial barriers prevent talented students from expanding or completing their education, it is a loss for society. The University of Memphis has a wide variety of scholarship opportunities available to students. In addition, Herff offers scholarships specific to engineering students.
TThe Herff College of Engineering provides tutoring and academic support for undergraduates enrolled in engineering. The College focuses on providing support for challenging courses that students take during their engineering curriculum. All of our tutoring services are provided to the students FREE of charge.
