eDay Passport Rules

Collect Stamps. Compete. Win for Your Classroom!

Put your team's curiosity and enthusiasm for engineering to the test in the 2026 Herff Engineering Day Passport Challenge!

Throughout eDay, participating teams can earn digital passport stamps by exploring engineering competitions, hands-on activities, demonstrations, and laboratory tours.

At the end of the event, the three eligible teams with the highest number of completed activities on their submitted passports will each receive a prize for their classroom!

Official Challenge Rules

1. One Passport Per Team
Each team must use one digital eDay Passport to record its participation throughout the event. A designated chaperone is responsible for managing the passport.

2. Participate to Earn Stamps
Teams earn one digital stamp for each different eligible activity, competition, demonstration, or laboratory tour they complete or participate in.

3. Scan the Official QR Code
The team's chaperone must scan the official QR code associated with an activity to receive credit.

4. One Stamp Per Activity
Each eligible activity can only be counted once per team. Repeated scans of the same QR code will not increase the team's total.

5. All Activities Count Equally
Every different eligible activity is worth one stamp, regardless of its type or duration.

6. Complete Your Team's Information
Passports must include the school name, contact person's name, contact phone number, and participating grade level(s).

7. Submit Your Passport
Teams must select Submit Passport before the event's announced submission deadline. Passports that are not submitted will not be considered for prizes.

8. The Three Highest Totals Win
Eligible teams will be ranked by the number of unique activities completed and recorded on their submitted passports. The three teams with the highest verified totals will be selected as the challenge winners.

9. Participate Fairly
Teams must participate in an activity to receive its stamp. Scanning QR codes without participating, sharing codes to collect unearned stamps, or submitting misleading information may result in disqualification.

Classroom Prizes

Three winning teams will each receive a prize for their classroom! Winning teams will be contacted using the information submitted with their passports.

Ties

If two or more teams finish with the same number of completed activities and a tie affects prize placement, the tied teams will be entered into a random drawing to determine their placement.

Important Reminders

• Only successfully submitted passports qualify for prizes.

• Each unique eligible activity counts as one completed activity.

• Repeated participation in the same activity does not earn additional stamps.

• Chaperones are responsible for scanning QR codes and submitting their team's passport.

• Event organizers reserve the right to verify submissions and resolve eligibility questions.

Every Activity Is an Opportunity!

The eDay Passport Challenge is about more than collecting stamps. It's an opportunity to explore engineering, experience new technologies, ask questions, and discover what makes engineering exciting.

Get involved, explore as much as you can, and help your classroom become an eDay Passport Challenge winner!
