This year, Herff College of Engineering is making an exciting change by expanding Engineering Day to two events for the first time ever.

Herff will welcome students in grades 3-8 for a special Fall eDay on October 23, 2026, marking the first time that Herff has hosted two eDay events in one academic year. The special event follows Herff's February eDay which saw more than 700 students from across the Mid-South take part in dozens of competitions, activities and demonstrations.

Those competitions will once again be offered in October to our younger students and walk-up STEM activities will be available for all to enjoy.

Competitions at Herff's Fall 2026 eDay will include MLGW's A Blazing Race, Coding Challenge, Egg Drop, Flash Build, Transportation K'Nex Challange, Penny Boat, Spaghetti Structure and Artificial Grasping Hands.

Learn more about those competitions here.
