The Herff College of Engineering proudly recognizes faculty and staff who have gone above and beyond in their research, service and dedication to the college and the University of Memphis.
The Herff College of Engineering honored six faculty and staff members with awards across five categories: 2026 Herff Outstanding Staff Award, 2026 Herff Outstanding Faculty Teaching Award, 2026 Herff Outstanding Faculty Research Award, 2026 Herff Outstanding Faculty Service Award and 2026 Herff Outstanding Scholar Award for High Impact Journal Publications.
Kimberly Rogers, Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications, and Jason Presley, Research Equipment Technology II, both won awards for 2026 Herff Oustanding Staff.
Dr. Pegah Farshadmanesh, Assistant Professor of Teaching in Herff's Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering, won the 2026 Herff Oustanding Faculty Teaching Award.
The 2026 Herff Oustanding Faculty Research Award went to Dr. Mohd Ali, professor and interim chair of Herff's Electrical and Computer Engineering Department.
Dr. Chrysanthe Preza, professor in Herff's Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and Faculty Team Leader of Herff's Vertically Integrated Projects program, won the 2026 Herff Outstanding Faculty Service Award and Dr. Rouzbeh Nazari, chair of Herff's Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering, received the 2026 Herff Outstanding Scholar Award for High Impact Journal Publications.
