Transfer Students

Transfer students are also encouraged to attend an NSO session. Our sessions for transfer students are specifically designed to meet the needs of students of any age who are transferring from other institutions. You will have the opportunity to meet other students, faculty, and staff; discover activities and services available to you as a student; have your student ID made; and tour the campus. This year's transfer session will take place between 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. on the date listed below:

NSO Student Fee - $50
Includes Orientation program, materials, meals, and parking.

Guest Fee - $25
Includes Orientation program and meals.

New transfer and adult students may schedule appointments with their academic advisors as soon as they are admitted to the University of Memphis, and appointments should take place prior to attending Orientation. Academic advising is required before registering for courses each semester. After you have met with your advisor, you will be cleared to register on the MyMemphis portal. For academic advising appointments, transfer students may contact their college academic advisors. New adult freshmen students or undecided transfer students may contact the Academic Advising Center at (901)678-2062.
