Biography

Joel Roberts is the music librarian at the University of Memphis and an associate professor in the University Libraries. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Studio Music and Jazz, a Master of Information Sciences from the University of Tennessee, and both a Master of Music and Ph.D. in Musicology from the University of Memphis.

Roberts serves on the Career Development and Services Committee of the Music Library Association and the editorial board of the Journal of Arts Entrepreneurship Education. His research interests include the music of the Southeastern United States, and he frequently presents at national and regional conferences in library science and musicology. Additionally, he is an active member of the University's Collegium Musicum.
