About Betsy Moore
Dr. Moore has been with LCON since 2014, first as adjunct faculty, then as full-time faculty since 2015. Her clinical background is as a bedside nurse and Patient Care Coordinator in the Pediatric ICU at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, where she began her career in 2004. She completed her PhD from UTHSC in 2024, with a focus in pediatric asthma and critical care. She has held leadership positions in the Tennessee Nurses Association (TNA) since 2022, and is also a member of the Society of Pediatric Nurses (SPN), the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO), and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN). In addition to her academic and clinical responsibilities, Dr. Moore volunteers her time at University Schools on the University of Memphis campus, demonstrating her dedication to fostering the next generation of healthcare professionals.
