Undergraduate Academic Programs
The Loewenberg College of Nursing (LCON) offers three options for students through on-ground (BSN) and on-line (RN-BSN) plans of study. LCON's BSN Program pre-admits freshmen to the four semester, full-time BSN program. Applicants meeting admission criteria may apply to the traditional BSN program in their senior year of high school. Students pre-admitted to the BSN program complete nursing prerequisite and general education courses in the freshman and sophomore year. Students in good standing and meeting all admission criteria are guaranteed admission to the BSN program. Admission typically occurs in the first semester of the junior year. The Loewenberg College of Nursing offers three options for students through on-ground (BSN) and on-line (RN-BSN) plans of study. Students are required to meet the BSN admission criteria in addition to the pre-admission requirements.

Distance Education Licensure/Certification Requirements Disclosure

Students should be aware that licensure and certification requirements vary from state to state and are subject to change. Licensing agencies or boards also may have requirements in addition to an earned degree.

The University of Memphis recommends that students who are not Tennessee residents or who plan to seek licensure or certification outside the state of Tennessee contact the appropriate licensing agency or board prior to enrollment in an academic program designed to lead to licensure or certification and discuss their plans with an advisor.
