About Joy Allen Price
Dr. Joy Price began her nursing education at Northeast Mississippi Community College (NMCC) in Booneville, Miss., graduating with an Associate Degree in 1981. She would then earn a BSN from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Ala., an MSN from the Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, Miss., and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
Her teaching experience includes faculty positions at Jackson State Community College in Tennessee, NMCC and Bevill State Community College in Jasper, Ala. Professionally, she began her career as registered nurse, working at Magnolia Hospital in Corinth, Miss., then Huntsville Hospital in Ala. She would go on to work at Maury County Hospital in Columbia, Tenn., Hardin County Hospital in Savannah, Tenn., and Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, Miss. Currently, Dr. Price serves as an advanced nurse practitioner in psychiatric/mental health at TeamHealth.
Dr. Price is a member of the Mississippi Nurses Association.
