Almost nobody gets to a bachelor's degree in a straight line. A TCAT diploma brings up to 30 credits. An A.A.S. brings up to 60. Certifications, military training and years on the job count too — so you finish the degree instead of starting one.

Most of our students are working while they do this.

No Calculus Wall

College Algebra is the highest math in most of our programs. The barrier that stopped a lot of capable people is gone.

YOU'RE NOT STARTING FROM ZERO

Turn Experience Into Momentum.

Most of our students arrive with a good part of the degree already finished. A TCAT diploma brings up to 30 credits — a quarter of a bachelor's. An A.A.S. from a Tennessee community college brings up to 60, which is half.

Up to 30 Credits from TCAT

Polytechnic@UofM is the only institution granting TCAT transfer credit into bachelor's degree programs, with a pathway for every TCAT program and up to 30 eligible credits - about 25% of a degree.

Up to 60 Credits from an AAS

Every AAS program has a pathway forward, with eligible students potentially bringing up to 60 credits - approximately 50% of a bachelor's degree.

Credit for Prior Learning

Eligible certifications, professional training and work experience may provide additional college credit and further reduce the time and cost of completing your degree.
